Education for Employability Building a 21st Century Assessment System to Assess Learning, Knowledge and Skills
The first two Malaysian Conferences (in 2005 and in 2007) examined the use of technology to measure learning, knowledge and skills from the classroom to the workplace and received warm praise from delegates and contributors alike. This year we will focus on skills assessment and development and will be associated with the BES Asia, KLCC, 15th - 16th Oct. 2008 (www.besa.org.uk/besa/events/view.jsp?item=181) hosted by BESA and UK Trade and Investment.
All three conferences have been designed for all those involved in education, training and work based learning who are concerned with raising standards and, in particular, with the use of technology to improve assessment.
As before speakers from leading Malaysian, UK and international organisations will consider how technology can support the development of a high quality, skills based workforce, including the
Bridging the skills gap by appropriate and timely skills assessment,
assessment in education for employability,
delivery of qualifications,
the role of computer based testing and assessment,
the use of e-portfolios and competency based qualifications and
how technology can improve access to learning and development in a modern South East Asia
